Meet the Team
Dr Becky Bayly
BVSc. (Hon I), BSc. (Hon)
Veterinarian & Practice Owner
Beck grew up eventing and show jumping horses in the UK, and whilst the love of horses still remains, livestock became her calling after working for many years as a vet nurse in Northland, rural NZ. Beck graduated from the University of Queensland in 2015, working full time through out her studies milking cows at the university dairy. The job continued post graduation, with Beck combining milking with casual veterinary work until 2016 when Beck Bayly Livestock Vet launched and Beck started to become a household name for the farmers of the Lockyer Valley and surrounds.
Dr Gen
BVB, DVM
Veterinarian
After graduating from the University of Sydney, Gen spent a few years in a mixed practice in NSW, before chasing Queenslands warmer weather! She brings with her a keen interest in all things reproduction related, from dogs to horses, and anything in between.
Caitlyn Sykes
Cert IV Veterinary Nurse & Practice Manager
Many of you have already met Caitlyn as she spent a lot of her childhood carting cattle around the valley with her Uncle Grantley. After progressing from weekend casual work veterinary nursing whilst still in school she completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2020 just prior to starting with Becky.
Emily Bradley
Animal Attendant (working towards Cert IV Veterinary Nurse)
Since graduating from the University of Queensland in 2016 with a Bachelor of Equine Science Emily has done stud work as well as competing and breeding her Warmblood horses under Embrook Hanoverians. She'll be a regular fixture in the surgery as she works towards her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Jemma Walker
Animal Attendant
Jemma is another familiar face in the valley, when she is not helping us out at the surgery, she's contract mustering, hunting or looking after her random brood of all sorts at home including her adorable daughter Riley-Jayne. Jemma has a not so secret infatuation with spots and long ears.
